IOSH Safety for Senior Executives

Managing risk is a key issue for all directors and senior managers. One key risk area is the health and safety of an organisation’s workers and others (including members of the public). This course will provide senior executives with an understanding of their roles and responsibilities, particularly in line with the HSC Code of Directors’ responsibilities for health and safety.

·         Senior Managers’ responsibilities under H&S law

·         Civil & criminal law and how it is enforced

·         The HSC’s code "Directors’ responsibilities for H&S"

·         Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007

·         Corporate Governance and H&S

·         Operating and financial review, Annual reporting

·         H&S management systems; Action plans

Full documentation and assessment checklists provided.

Safety for Senior Executives Certificate from IOSH (Optional).  Delegates can sit a 45 minute test at the end of the course (comprising 10 multi-choice questions and a project) to assess their knowledge and ability to apply it. Successful applicants will be awarded an IOSH Certificate.
